The innovation of ATM pin input mode

New feeling with ATM: high security, comfortable, disembarrassed

My main technology features an ATM pin input method design to improve ATM pin security, prevent pin peeking and camera recording crimes.

The number of ATM "Skimming" crimes occurring around the world is staggering nowadays. In England alone, banks lost 37 million pounds in a year (2007) over ATM frauds, and the number of ¡°skimming¡± crimes went up by 17% from 2007 to 2008. Offenders usually overlay a fake keyboard on the original keyboard, or fix a hidden camera on the ATM. Such devices will record the consumer¡¯s pin during their input progress.

I have designed a ¡°Roulette Pin System¡± which I call RPS, to improve ATM pin security. The mechanism of RPS is to combine a special unseen number pin input controller with a special vision confusing system display on the screen. The RPS replaced the keyboard inputting system, which is innately susceptible to peeking, with screen display and mouse (pin input controller). With a vision confusing system (an anti-peeping membrane) on the screen, only from the perspective of the user can one recognize the pin inputting process.
