Not On My Watch (Documentary)

By: Sara Lewis, Michael Edwards and Jonathon Burstow

Beachy Head, located near Eastbourne on the South Coast of England, is a popular beauty spot for thousands of tourists every year, but the chalk head, rising 162 metres above sea level, also holds a darker attraction and receives the attention of a very different kind of visitor. Since the 1600s (Source: BBC) it has built a notorious reputation as the prime location for attempted suicides in Britain.

"Not On My Watch" focuses on the story of Keith Lane, a local hero who claims to have rescued 24 people from the edge of the cliff, and explores both his relationships with the various institutions involved in matters of suicide at Beachy Head and his growing exposure in the national media.
