The Student Systems Office performs a varied range of activities which support the administration of the entire student life cycle. These activities include bulk processing of student records; provision of mailing labels, lists and statistics; management of archived student records; transcripts and degree certificates; timetabling and termtime room bookings; co-ordinating Registration and Welcome activities; student-related systems developments; training and support for users of Registry systems.

- Timetabling and Room Bookings are responsible for the construction of the teaching timetable, provision of information on teaching rooms and their facilities, and room bookings via ORBS (Online Room Bookings @ Sussex).
- Not to be confused with the Alumni Society: Transcripts and Alumni Services provides official documentation to support both current and former students who wish to go on to further studies, need verification for employment purposes or who are in the process of transferring to another institution. This section holds the records of all former students, provides transcripts and academic records to students, and can provide microfilm/paper files for tutors.
- The Student Data Section provides a service to other Registry offices and academic/administrative units across campus, producing mailing labels, lists, impromptu reports and statistics, and assisting in bulk processing of student records to support events such as Graduation and Registration.
