Research and Enterprise Services consists of five teams:
Research and Enterprise Services is responsible for the negotiation and administration of all grants and contracts for research and consultancy held by the University. The Division supports research and consultancy across the University by:
- identifying sources of funding for research
- disseminating funding information and providing advice on the bidding process
- advising on the costing and pricing of bids
- checking and approving all research grant applications and contracts (including Je-S electronic submission) and accepting awards
- administering existing research business, including preparing and submitting claims to sponsors and monitoring compliance with the terms of funding
- providing services to members of staff in negotiations for research and consultancy contracts
- supporting the University's regional research and enterprise activities
- providing management information on the University's research effort
- providing advice on research governance and ethical issues
- advising on the procedures for private and University consultancy
