Understanding Fairness in ASC (Tamas Borbely)

The Children and Technology Lab at the University of Sussex invites children between the ages of 5 and 11 with a diagnosis of high-functioning autism or Asperger's syndrome to take part in an exciting research study on how fairness is understood and practised in primary school age. Being fair is important for making friends and for playing together, but children with autism often struggle in this area. The goal of our research is to identify ways to help them. The study involves talking about stories and playing simple computer games, and takes about 45 minutes to complete. Your child can pick their own prizes from a variety of toys (e.g. Star Wars, Moshi Monsters and dinosaurs) for taking part. The study is run at the University of Sussex in Brighton (you will be reimbursed for any travel costs) or in your home.
