I studied Biology for a bachelor degree at the University of Bielefeld (Germany). After that, I entered and completed my master of science, titled 'Informatics in the Natural Sciences', also at the University of Bielefeld.

During my master thesis I investigated predictability of bumblebee learning flights with the help of a subset of machine learning methods (namely ARIMA models and methods of reservoir computation).

I am currently doing a PhD at the University of Sussex (UK), modelling route following strategies of insects for later implementation on artifical agents (e.g. drones).
