Jacqueline Mychajlowycz is currently a PhD student in the University of Sussex Business School.  Her PhD thesis will investigate the cross-border investment and divestment behaviour of family businesses from emerging economies with Dr. Palitha Konara and Dr. Yong Yang as her supervisors.

Prior to her PhD candidacy, Jacqueline had completed her MSc in International Management at the University of Sussex.  However, her academic profile before this was dramatically different as she completed a BA(Hons) in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup at the University College Birmingham.  She has also thrived in various administrative roles of different industries from Higher Education to a special area of the service industry focusing on weights and measures.

Finally, Jacqueline is an international student who was born in the United States, grew up in Switzerland, and entered higher education in the UK.  This has fuelled her interest in international business leading towards her research focus on developing a further understanding of the reasoning behind international investments and divestments.
