Biography

David Juenger joined Sussex University as DAAD Lecturer in Modern European History in September 2017. He is part of the History Department of the School of History, Art History and Philosophy. He is also affiliated with the Center for German-Jewish Studies. His research and teaching interests are Modern German and American Jewish History and Modern European History.

Before his tenure in Sussex he was a research Assistant at the Free University Berlin and the Selma Stern Center for Jewish Studies Berlin for four years. David holds a PhD and an MA from the University of Leipzig. He is currently working on his second book about the life and times of the German-American rabbi Joachim Prinz (1902-1988).
