My teaching responsibilities include leading modules and being part of teams engaged in student learning covering cell biology to vaccine development.  I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students for their laboratory-based projects, and have successfully supervised PhD students to completion on a range of infectious disease topics.

Further to this I obtained my Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in 2008 and a MA in Higher Education (Merit) in 2016.  These opportunities to study gave me the chance to develop my interest in the use of mobile/digital technologies for learning and teaching in higher education.  Through activities undertaken as party of my pedagogic study and teaching activities I was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2017.
