Education & Work/Research Experience

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition in 2009 followed two years later by a Master’s degree in Clinical Dietetics/Nutrition both from the Harokopion University of Athens.

During an 8-year period following my graduation, I contributed as a research assistant to various protocols including the 'Healthy Growth Study' and the multicenter European projects 'Food4Me', 'HabEat', 'ToyBox' and 'ENERGY'. I have also provided individualized dietary counseling and given nutrition-based invited talks to the public. In 2016-17, I also took part in the development of a schoolchildren-based educational material on healthy eating and physical activity as an external Nutritionist Consultant of an overseas Food Company.

In 2017, I moved to the University of Sussex to take up a doctoral research position in the School of Psychology under Prof Martin Yeomans supervision ( focusing on the study of sweet taste liking and disliking. As part of my PhD, I also conduct some collaborative research with Dr John Hayes ( from the Department of Food Science at the Pennsylvania State University in the US.
