Biography

I completed my studies in “Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies” (5 years) at the University of Siena in November 2008. During this period, I also did a 6-months pharmacy training in a drug store, learning as much as I could about this activity. Soon after, I attempted a 2° level Master in “Drug Design and Synthesis” in order to complete and increase my knowledge in the field of synthetic chemistry and in-silico drug discovery. In October 2009, I started my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (3 years) and during this period I achieved a high experience in the synthetic and analytical chemistry fields. After the PhD thesis defense on December 2012, I got a position as post-doctoral researcher at the University of Siena, to carry on my new research projects and to complete the ones started when I was a PhD student. Since September 2016 I work as part of the SDDC group at the University of Sussex as a research fellow in medicinal chemistry.
