My research addresses various themes within the topic of corporate social responsibility/corporate sustainability management, pushing the existing boundaries of management knowledge in several directions:

- One strand of my research investigates the role of cognitive frames in managerial decision making on tensions and trade-offs.

- I am one of the first scholars to have study the perceptions of corporate social responsibility by trade unions across Europe, a topic that both the corporate social responsibility and the employment relations literatures have neglected.

- I have a long-standing interest in the management of sustainability issues in supply chains, often undertaken from a decision-making perspective.
