I am medical doctor by training and I choose to do PhD due to my strong desire to pursue career in academia and in neuroscience research. I have most of my research experience in behavioural and system neuroscience working around role of synapses in health and disease. My main purpose in joining Sussex and Dr. Andrew Penn lab was to gather new set of skills involving molecular neuroscience and elctrophysiological techniques and due to strong collaborations with drug discovery centre, to open avenues for translational neuroscience research. Being here in university of Sussex, I  very much appreciate the strong supportive environment for progress and would like to stay here and progress further in long term.

I am post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Andrew Penn lab. I am interested role of AMPA type glutamate recptors in Synaptic dysfuntion and pathogenesis of neurological diseases.
