My research examines contemporary practices in the field of theatre directing, with a particular focus on British and German directors. I also publish on Early Modern Drama in Performance, and am particularly interested in cases where these two worlds collide (Thomas Ostermeier's work on Shakespeare at the Schaubuehne, for instance).

My PhD was a comparative study of the work of Katie Mitchell and Thomas Ostermeier, and I have work published in journals ranging from the Shakespeare Bulletin to Contemporary Theatre Review.
