My PhD is focused on the ambitious goal of building a fully scalable universal quantum computer with a modular 'building block' architecture.

My research interests include the development of high fidelity quantum logic gates using trapped ions and the development of hardware for quantum simulation.

I would like to put the power of Quantum Computing to work on solving computationally hard problems in Science and Medicine.

Prior to my PhD I worked for 10 years as an Operational Analyst at the UK Ministry of Defence.

Current       PhD Quantum Computing, University of Sussex

2001-2005  MPhys, University of Manchester
