I have been part of the Experimental Particle Physics group for almost four years (2014 - 2018) working on the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC, CERN (Geneva). In particular, during my PhD I joined two SUSY-analysis groups, both searching for evidence of the supersymmetric partner of the top quark in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV, and the ATLAS Inner Detector Trigger group where I contributed by monitoring the performance of the ATLAS Inner Detector Triggers. Additionally, I also joined the Trigger Core Software group where I gave my contribution by developing a tool for the monitoring of the size of the Event Data Model (trigger categories) whose results are displayed onto a webpage here.

I graduated in Nuclear Physics at the University of Catania ( in July 2014 with a dissertation titled "Protons emission and space-time characterisation in heavy-ion collision", a project about proton-proton Intensity Interferometry, aiming at the deduction of source size and life-time of an emitting source created in a heavy-ion collision at E/A 50 MeV/u using the LASSA detector at the National Superconducting Laboratory (NSCL), Michigan State University (MSU), US.
