Tristan joined the SDDC in September 2014 after completing a doctorate in Medicinal Chemistry at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research (Newcastle University, UK). During his PhD, he worked on the development of small-molecule inhibitors of Sulfatase 2 and ERK5. Tristan obtained his chemistry degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Clermont Ferrand (France) and a MSc in Drug Discovery from the University of Bradford (UK).

In his first two years at the SDDC, Tristan actively contributed to the lead optimisation of a late stage neuroscience project which resulted in the identification of clinical candidates. In July 2016, he transferred to the Oncology Team, who is working on a portfolio of projects, exploiting DNA damage response to develop new cancer drugs. Tristan is leading one of these projects, which are run in close collaboration with scientists at AstraZeneca and experts in cancer research.
