Biography

Tomas lectures and leads seminars in finance related modules including Principles of Finance, Corporate and International Finance, Investments, and Bank Risk Management. He is currently designing an entirely new module on company valuation, Valuation of Public and Private Firms.

He brings over 15 years of experience from investment management, banking and energy. His roles have covered the entire value chain of investing (from articulating and implementing investment strategies to pitching products to investors), corporate finance (including capital structure analysis and company valuations), and risk management.

 

Tomas is also Board Member of the Swedish securities firm Nord Fondkommission, and works as an independent consultant producing investment research, cash flow models, credit analysis, equity valuations, and capital structure analyses. Previously, he was Investment Manager/Analyst at Banquo Credit Management, responsible for managing (strategy, security selection and analysis) corporate bond funds. This followed roles as credit analyst at Credit Agricole, focusing on high yield and distressed credits, and at Enron Europe, as lead analyst covering major European credit exposures and responsible for the credit risk management of the Nordic power market operations.

 

Tomas initiated his graduate studies at the Stockholm School of Economics and holds a PhD in Finance from the London Business School.
