Lead Designer: claire potter design - an award winning Brighton based design studio specialising in sustainable and exciting solutions for interior architecture and design, landscape and product design, leading the creative and project construction management of private and commercial projects of all sizes. An urban forager, global trend spotter and design journalist for print and online publications. Also selected by the BBC as an Expert Woman for Design and Architecture in 2014, resulting in media training and ongoing media appearances on tv and live radio as a commentating expert. 

Specialist areas: the role of design in the circular economy, including sustainable product design, recovery of materials and new product opportunities that arise from the 'waste as food' Cradle to Cradle methodology. Claire is also a committee member for British Standard - BS8887 - M.A.D.E - Design for Manufacture, Assembly, Disassembly, End of Life processing. The ongoing studio research is based in the circular economy sphere, including the psychology of consumerism with relation to the circular economy and design opportunities that will arise with the large scale recovery and reintroduction of marine plastic waste into the manufacturing streams, acting as a representative of the World Cetacean Alliance on the Global Ghost Gear Initiative's 'replicating solutions' working group. Claire is also marine activist and a regional rep for Surfers Against Sewage, heading up the marine litter campaigns in the Brighton and Hove areas.
