Biography

I am currently working as a Research Fellow for Protein Production and Structural Biology under Prof. Simon Ward  in SDDC. My current research is mainly focused on projects dealing with development of novel small-molecule  therapeutic   leads for various cancer target proteins.  I have started my career as a Postdoctoral fellow  at University of Sussex, U.K  under Prof. Laurence Pearl and Dr. Antony Oliver  focusing on the discovery of novel small-molecule  therapeutic   leads for various oncology targets by structure-based drug   design approach. My   PhD was in Microbiology at University of Reading, UK to explore the structural and functional characteristics of iron transport components in bacterial system. Before joining PhD, I was working as Research assistant in Bioinformatics Centre, Indian Institute of Science, India working on computational based sequence and structural analysis on toxins from cone snails, spiders, and scorpions.
