All my work is in some way related to the Economics of Education and Skills. More broadly, I am interested in labour and population Economics, as well as the underpinnings of productivity and economic growth.

At the moment, I am actively working on teachers and primary schooling in India, and computer skills in the UK.

For my PhD, I used Norwegian population register data to assess some effects of a compulsory school reform, carried out in the 1960s and the 1970s in Norway. “Education and Mobility” published in Journal of the European Economic Association,  shows that there is a causal impact from education to regional mobility. Another article, published in Public Choice, measures the impact of the school reform on voter turnout.
