My current research programme investigates the impact of genetic variation on the cognitive effects of noradrenergic drugs. In collaboration with colleagues at the Universities of Sussex (Tamzin Ripley), Simon Ward & Pete Clifton), Nottingham (Marie-Christine Pardon), Oxford (Liz Tunbridge), NIMH (Jingshan Chen, Daniel Weinberger & Karen Berman) and the Institute of Psychiatry (Cathy Fernandes), we are investigating putative pro-cognitive effects of experimental alpha 2 adrenoceptor antagonists on models of cognitive impairment.
