Ashleigh is currently undertaking a PhD in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Sussex under the supervision of Dr. Rebecca PrenticeDr. Paul Gilbert

She has successfully completed a BA (Hons) in Anthropology (First Class) in 2012 and an MA in Environment, Development and Policy (Distinction) in 2017, both from the University of Sussex. After successfully receiving a full scholarship from the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS)/Economic and Social Research Council, Ashleigh returned to Sussex in 2018 to begin her 1+3 PhD in Social Anthropology, during which time she undertook a second masters degree (MSc Social Research Methods) and is due to graduate with a Distinction in 2020.
