Biography
Owen joined the University in 1990 and after working in various student facing roles became Academic Registrar in 1999. He came to University administration relatively late, having a varied early career that included being a cinema projectionist, buyer, IT and accounts work, and after attending the University of East Anglia as a mature undergraduate and the University of Brighton at masters level. Owen is strongly committed to ensuring that the Student & Academic Services Division plays a strong role in giving Sussex students a really positive university experience, both via the services that we provide directly to students, and via a high standard of support to academic units.
