Research

Robotics and Mechatronics

Mobile robotics and their control systems, for example, design of innovative mobile robots and adaptive control systems.

Autonomous robots for hazardous or challenging environments exploration that can manipulate objects, cooperate and act as a group.

The integration of sensors in mobile robots in order for them to perform difficult tasks, and the integration of new controlling devices or techniques for mobile robots.

Control Engineering

PhD thesis title is: Optimal Control of a Flywheel-based Automotive Kinetic Energy Recovery System.

Additional interests include Nonlinear Control, Adaptive Control, Robust Control and Active Control systems, mainly within Automotive applications.

Sensors and Wearable Technology

The use of sensors and wearable technology in sports, for example, by using patter recognition algorithms.
