Tamsin currently convenes the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE). She also teaches on the MA module 'Critical Higher Education'.

Tamsin has broad teaching experience across Sociology, Gender Studies, Education, and Cultural Studies; and including undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Teaching at Sussex to date includes The Sociology of Education, Classical Sociological Theory, Contemporary Social Theory, Designing Sociological Research II (Qualitaitve research), Themes and Perspectives in Sociology I and II, Comparative Societies (Britain and Japan), Concepts of Culture and Community, Constructing sexuality, Gender politics and social research, What is Gender Studies?, Gender and the life course, Sociology of Gender, Sociology of Deviance, Sociology project, and Critical reading and writing for sociologists.

She has also taught journalism and media studies at Kingston University, having trained and practised in journalism. Tamsin has had articles published in publications including The Guardian, and has been shortlisted for the Catherine Packenham Daily Telegraph award for women journalists. She has received an award for Excellence in Teaching from the University of Sussex.
