Biography

I have worked at the University of Sussex Library since 2006, where I initially spent 4 years working in Frontline Services, before moving into Academic Services.

As Research Support Supervisor, I spent 5 years supporting the Sussex research community by providing guidance and training for doctoral researchers and research staff, running various group workshops and events, and looking at requests for new resources. I also managed the Sussex Research Hive and the Hive Scholars throughout their tenure, assisting with their peer-support activities. You can find out more about this role in this 2014 Doctoral Connections interview.

As Learning and Teaching Librarian I manage the team responsible for the University's online reading lists system, which provides resources for teaching and drives purchasing decisions for our collections. I chair the Library's e-textbook working group, which co-ordinates an exciting new model for textbook delivery. In this position I also co-lead on the Library's teaching activities by devising and delivering information and digital literacy training for all taught students.

I am an Associate Fellow of the HEA, and I am currently completing my PGCertHE.
