Teaching

Mary supervises PhD students in Creative & Critical Practice and Digital Media. She also regularly teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate modules across the Media Practice subject area. She has taught on modules in Media and Film Studies areas as well. Mary regularly advises students working with digital media, interactive documentary and animation in the final year of the BA Media Production as they develop their major projects.

She has convened the BA Media Practice and the MA Digital Media degrees and has helped to write and launch new UG and PGT degrees during her time at Sussex.

Mary has received numerous awards for her teaching including two Teaching Excellence awards at Sussex University, a teaching award from Cornish College of the Arts and awards from other institutions.
