I convene the Education PhD, which currently has around 50 students, from many different countries, researching in the fields of enquiry relevant to our Education Research Centres, these being the Centre for International Education (CIE), the Centre for Higher Education and Equity Research (CHEER), and the Centre for Inquiry and Research in Cognition, Learning and Teaching (CIRCLETS).

We have an active and supportive doctoral community which organises many events throughout the year (e.g. doctoral conferences, research in progress workshops, reading groups. and social events).

For more details of our PhD, including the research interests of our academic supervisors, an indication of research topics of our PhD researchers, and how to apply, see http://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/pg/2013/research/1991.  Applicants are also welcome to contact me directly with academic enquiries about any aspect of our PhD.
