Wilma is course convenor for  MA Media Practice for Development and Social Change  and teaches the core module Producing Medai for Development and Social Change

She also teaches the Autumn Core Course 'Documentary Practice ' of the MA Digital Documentary.

She also  supervises   PhD students in the folowing fields: documentary theory and practice,  pressure groups and the media, transnational documentary and multimedia, media, development and social change, migration.

Her teaching experience includes media and politics,  documentary, drama and scriptwriting. She also lectures on: Documentary and Reality TV, Media and Globalisation, Media and Democracy and (int) Documentary Theory and Practice.

Wilma is the contact person for One World Media, a media organisation who offers media training  and bursaries for students who want to produce media projects in the developing world  as part of their MA studies.
