Research

My interests span all of the key family relationships, marital, parent-child, and sibling, as well as the broader family context & climate.  Specifically, I link family relations to children's well-being.  I take a family systems approach to research, meaning that I pay attention to the inter-dependence of relations among family members, as well as recognizing that the broader contexts of work, school, neighbourhood, and culture can affect the nature of families, as well as effects that families have on children’s development.
