Teaching

Paul Webb has extensive experience of designing, convening and teaching programmes and courses at Universities in Britain and Australia. His teaching has taken in Comparative, European and British Politics, Political Thought, French and Italian Politics, Research Methods, and Party Politics. At Sussex he is currently responsible for convening and lecturing the first course on Explanatory Concepts in Political Science, and the final year undergraduate options on Parties and Voters in the UK, and Parties and Party Systems in Comparative Perspective. He also convenes the Independent Study option, which provides students with the opportunity to do an internship with an MP. He has supervised more than a dozen PhD students through to successful completion of their doctorates, while he currently supervises 6 others, 4 of whom are funded by the ESRC.
