Employment Record

I am a teaching fellow for modern foreign languages education at the University of Sussex. As lead tutor I teach and support MFL trainees on the secondary PGCE and School Direct programmes at the University of Sussex.  Alongside my substantive teaching role I supervise and assess three postgraduate modules: Assessing Professional Knowledge, Reflecting on Professional Knowledge and Exploring Professional Knowledge.

Previously I have worked in a number of secondary schools as a dedicated and passionate teacher of MFL as well as a Senior Leader. My roles have encompassed leading on whole school CPD and teaching and learning, behaviour and welfare, KS3 and KS4 outcomes, and KS2 -3 transition. I have been a Professional Tutor and mentor for teachers entering the profession and coach to established teachers, as well as strategic lead for Brighton and Hove’s recruitment strategy to the School Direct teacher training programme.
