Further information
The following information about the project is that given to directly affected staff in meetings on Wednesday 9 May 2012.
The unviersity recognises that the "competitive dialogue" approach to identifying preferred suppliers is a long period for staff.
We have been holding workshops and information sessions for directly affected staff, as well as 1-1 support.
Directly affected staff can also seek information from their line managers, and can raise issues with the relevant campus trades unions.
Managers of services are also being offered training to support their teams through the process.
The University meets regularly with campus trades unions - both reps and full-time officials - and these continue through the process. The university also provides written information and briefings as requested by trades unions.
Staff not directly affected have been involved in focus groups which have helped shape the requirements for services.
There are general opportunities for staff at the VC's open meetings - and this project was discussed at the June meetings, and updates given at the autumn meetings.
The students' union have also written and had meetings with the university managers on the plans and those meetings continue.
In addition, if you have any questions or queries about the project then you can email internalcomms@sussex.ac.uk
Where these are not already covered by the existing information, timeline and Q&As, we will reply and add relevant questions to the website.
The TUPE consultation phase will operate when preferred suppliers are chosen in spring 2013.
