Please give blood

South Thames Blood Transfusion Service will be at the University on Wednesday 27 November between 11.00am and 1.45 pm and 3.30 to 5.15 pm. Please contact the Students' Union Reception in Falmer House on 8152 for an appointment. The blood you give at work is important because it is available during the day and can be processed and made ready for patients soon after donation.

The Story so far....

Six months after opening, the Sussex Innovation Centre has 15 resident tenants, their businesses covering a wide spectrum of activities in the fields of bio-sciences, research and development, multi-media and IT services. Between them, the companies have created 20 new jobs. The office-laboratory space now taken up constitutes almost 70% of the total lettable space, which far exceeds the original business plan. The Centre is aiming to be full by spring/summer of 1997.

Potential tenants are attracted to the Centre for many reasons. Units are custom-built to individual requirements; an entrepreneurial network of advisors and professionals is provided to assist tenants in the initial planning of their business and their are clear links to academia and research via the two universities and Brighton College of Technology.
