Chancellor launches fund-raising campaign for Chair of German-Jewish Studies

Lord Attenborough, film director and University Chancellor, hosted a fund-raising dinner on 22 February at the House of Lords, where he launched a £1.5 million appeal to establish a Chair of German-Jewish Studies.

The dinner was attended by the German Ambassador, Dr Hans-Friedrich von Ploetz. Other guests included Sir Claus Moser, Chairman of the British Museum Development Trust and Professor Peter Pulzer, Chairman of the Leo Baeck Institute in London.
