Student elections to Senate
Calling all postgraduates, mature students, international students and part-time students: you are eligible to stand for and vote in the election of four students to represent your interests at Senate, the principal academic committee of the University.
Nomination forms are now available at the Students' Union reception, Sussex House reception and from the USSU Education Officer. The closing date for nominations is Friday 20 October and ballots will take place in the week beginning 23 October.

The Students' Union wants you
Enjoy the benefits of student life without going to a single lecture, by taking out associate membership of the Students' Union. Pay just £4 at the reception in Falmer House and you will be eligible to participate in Union activities (except voting and elections), such as sports or clubs and societies - join up in the Activities Centre on the first floor.
USIS on the move
Richard Tammar and his colleagues in USIS are now spinning the University's website as part of the External Relations section. They have moved from the Library to offices in Sussex House, but have kept the same telephone number (ext. 8745) and email address (usis@sussex.ac.uk).
Open language courses
Want to learn a language in a relaxed, friendly but academic atmosphere? EURO offers lunchtime and evening courses at a variety of levels in French, German, Czech, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian and Spanish.
