The 30 minute film discusses the work of the Sussex Ion Quantum Technology group in making practical quantum computers. Winfried Hensinger explains the mysteries of quantum physics and shows how one can tame these to build quantum computers. PhD student Christophe Valahu demonstrates in the laboratory how to manipulate individual atoms.
They also filmed a Facebook Live Q&A in the CGTV studio. Professor Hensinger responds to some of the questions raised by Google's recent claim to quantum supremacy.
