The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the University of Sussex is holding an open day on Saturday 22 June from 10am-3pm to promote adult learning.
CCE offers adults who want to return to education the opportunity to develop specific interests and discover the challenges and rewards of university study.
A choice of stimulating, accessible and innovative certificates are on offer, which carry higher education credit and can lead to a part-time degree. Subjects include art history, creative writing, film studies, music, literature, archaeology, local history, field biology, media studies, multimedia, women's studies and environment, society and politics. There are also two multidisciplinary degree programmes: Landscape Studies and Cultural Studies.
All courses are designed to suit the diverse needs of adults with work and other commitments. Concessions are available for people on a low income, those receiving benefit and state pensioners.
The open day is a chance to find out more about these and other programmes, and the huge range of short open courses taught at venues across Sussex. You can even enrol for a course on the spot.
The open day will be held in Bramber House on the University of Sussex campus at Falmer, near Brighton. Refreshments will be available.
For more information, a campus map or copies of the prospectus please contact the Centre for Continuining Education on 01273 678040 or email cce@sussex.ac.uk. Alternatively, all course details can be found on the CCE website.
