University of Sussex Jobsday puts employers in contact with job-seeking students

The University of Sussex Jobsday on Wednesday 12 June offers local and national employers the opportunity to make direct contact with a large volume of job seeking students. Previous Jobsdays have attracted around 1,500 students looking for part-time work, vacation work and graduate positions.

"Excellent! Babel relies heavily on its student workforce and this event is ideal," said Alberto Schiannini from Hove-based Babel Media after the November 2001 Jobsday.

"The candidates appear to be genuine applicants and of good quality," added Gabrielle Donovan from chartered accountants Baker Tilly.

Organiser Andrea Wall says: "Jobsday provides a vital link between the University and employers. More and more students are seeking part-time work during term, full-time work during vacation and of course graduate opportunities when they complete their studies. Employers welcome this opportunity to speak to their target audience."
