Big Brother is watching you - on CCTV

Tom Troscianko, Professor of Psychology at the University of Sussex, will be taking part in a discussion about the impact of closed circuit television (CCTV) on society at the Cheltenham Science Festival on Saturday 25 May.

Professor Troscianko's research is in trying to predict whether a person or group of people are about to cause a disturbance from an analysis of CCTV video sequences.

Also taking part in the debate will be Bob Lack, group leader for security in the London Borough of Newham, who was responsible for the integration of facial recognition cameras to identify local criminals, and Mark Littlewood, director of campaigns for human rights organisation Liberty.
