Tasty summer courses for adult learners at the University of Sussex

As part of Adult Learners' Week, the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the University of Sussex is holding an open evening on Wednesday 15 May from 5-8pm to promote lifelong learning.

CCE offers adults who want to return to education the opportunity to develop specific interests and discover the challenges and rewards of university study.

A choice of three-day taster courses in the 'Exploring Learning' range cover topics from literature and the arts, to local history and geology, through to record production. 'Discovering Learning' courses, taught in a variety of time slots to suit the diverse needs of people with work and other commitments, include counselling, multimedia, management and women's studies opportunities.

The open evening is a chance to find out more about these and other part-time courses available in CCE and to enrol. All summer courses are offered at very reasonable rates with concessions for people on a low income, those receiving benefit and state pensioners.

The open evening will be held in Bramber House on the University of Sussex campus at Falmer, near Brighton. CCE will also have a stand at the Adult Learner's Week exhibition on Thursday 16 May from 11am - 7pm at the Ellipse (on beach level across from the Brighton Centre).

For more information and copies of the prospectus please contact the Centre for Continuing Education on 01273 678040 or email cce@sussex.ac.uk.
