Physics Helpdesk
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-2pm
Physics helpdesk will be available 1-2pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from week 2 to week 10 to provide you with help, should you need it, on basic problems in mathematics and physics. The idea is that you can turn up at the desk, on a first come, first served basis, for help with problems that may be making it difficult to follow courses, especially if there are some gaps in your knowledge. Note that the helpdesk is not there to assist directly with worksheets on the courses (workshops are for that purpose).
For example, if you had a difficulty with differentiation or integration, in the context of a physics course, you might want to use the helpdesk. You might, for instance, use it to help with problems manipulating vectors in the 'electromagnetic waves' course.
The helpdesk is located in the Physics & Astronomy study area 3A20 (Pevensey II building).
If there are already people at the helpdesk when you try to use it, make sure the helper has noticed you and then either wait or try returning a little later.
Do please use it - it's there to help you! Feedback on the scheme is most welcome.
