Independent Research Project: Dissertation (Q3263)

30 credits, Level 6

Spring teaching

You will independently develop an advanced and in-depth research project within a subject, topic or area of your own choice.

The work you undertake should expand and deepen an area you’ve become interested in as a result of degree work already completed.

This module offers the dissertation route. Before submitting your final dissertation, you will:

  • be supervised by an appropriate tutor
  • take part in research study skills seminars
  • develop a research topic and plan in collaboration with your supervisor
  • submit a proposed abstract and a suggested bibliography for your project
  • present an outline of your project to the group.
