Autumn and spring teaching

You'll look at a historical problem in depth. You will:

  • set your own research project and its questions
  • resolve those questions by studying a module on designing a research outline
  • carry out research using primary historical sources
  • develop the skills to write an extended piece of written work based on this (usually archival) research.

Contact hours and workload

This module is 300 hours of work. This breaks down into 48 hours of contact time and 252 hours of independent study.
