Success for LPS faculty in Student Led Teaching Awards

Six members of academic staff from the School of Law, Politics and Sociology have received Student Led Teaching Awards, with many more nominated.
The Awards, which are delivered annually in partnership between the University of Sussex and the Students’ Union, saw students nominate staff in a number of categories at the end of the spring term.
Following the nominations, School Student Experience Groups met to review the nominations at their final meeting of the year, where they agreed the winners.
This year, Professor Aleks Szczerbiak (Politics), Dr John Child (Law) and Teresa Sutton (Law) received awards for Outstanding or Innovative Undergraduate Teaching.
Dr Michael Kearney (Law), meanwhile, received an award for Outstanding or Innovative Postgraduate Teaching.
An award for Outstanding or Innovative Assessment and Feedback was given to Dr Laura Morosanu (Sociology).
Finally, Dr Verona Ni Drisceoil (Law) was rewarded for providing Outstanding Support for the Learning Experience of Students.
Staff also nominated for awards included Dr Alison Phipps (Sociology), Dr Ben Fincham (Sociology), Dr Lambros Fatsis (Sociology), Dr Helena Howe (Law), Dr Karl Broome (Sociology), Professor Richard Vogler (Law), Dr Kai Opperman (Politics) and Dr Olli Hellman (Politics).
