All across town, University of Sussex finalists are celebrating the end of their studies.
But in every ending there is a beginning – and 2013 could be the start of their postgraduate studies at Sussex.
That’s because there’s a new scholarship scheme - aimed at Sussex undergraduates - for postgraduate study at Sussex.
Under the scheme, all Sussex students who achieve a first-class or upper second-class honours degree in 2013, and who are offered a full-time place on an eligible Masters course at Sussex, will receive a scholarship to help towards tuition fees.
Students with a first-class degree are eligible for a £3,000 award and students with an upper second-class degree for a £2,000 award, in the form of a fee waiver. There is an unlimited number of awards on offer.
The deadline for applications for a Sussex Graduate Scholarship is 1 August, so there’s no time to waste.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Farthing, says: “We are not aware of any other centralised scholarships offered by UK research-intensives outside Oxbridge that support existing students on the same scale as this scheme.”
Further details and frequently asked questions are available online about the Sussex Graduate Scholarship.
