On Wednesday 24 May we held our annual Sussex Neuroscience Day on campus with a record attendance.
The annual event which brings all members of the Sussex Neuroscience Strategic Research Programme together, celebrated 10 years since Prof Leon Lagnado launched the programme as the first Director in 2013.
Members from across the programme took part in and led faculty talks, PhD talks and Postdoctoral talks with Prof Nilli Lavie (Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, UCL) discussing her research: “Where is my mind: The effects of attention on brain, behaviour and cognition.”
Many congratulations to Dominika Vargawho won the PhD Prize for her talk on“How knowing and remembering affect hippocampal response to surprising events.” and Dr Jose Moya Diaz who won the Postdoctoral prize for his talk on “Diurnal changes in the transmission of visual information.”.
