Teaching and learning
The Learning and Teaching Support team looks after library provision for students on taught courses - both undergraduate and postgraduate.
Your students will meet us for the first time during Freshers' week. All new students are given a Library induction as part of the University's induction programme. We also meet new students less formally at the USSU Freshers' Fair.
We continue to support students throughout their studies. We will liaise with you to find the most effective ways to achieve this. For more information, see the Teaching support page.
The Learning and Teaching Support team can support you in various ways:
- liaising with you on issues relating to resources for your courses
- teaching groups of students to use the Library's online resources
- providing an online information literacy tutorial called InfoSuss to help students develop the skills they need
- designing and developing web pages for subject areas to help the students identify the most relevant information for their studies.
