Information for Academics

We are keen to work closely with you to ensure that we provide the resources and services that are relevant to the Research and Teaching of the University. Every department has an appointed member of academic staff to act as a Library Representative. Their role is to represent you in discussions about resource provision, information literacy training and new developments in the library and to also keep you informed of changes in the Library's services and resources. They will also play an important role in making sure the library is kept informed of issues that are important to you through regular contact with us.

To help you keep up to date with the range of resources available in your subject area and how to get the most from them, we will organise awareness raising sessions for academic colleagues (either for groups or individuals). These may take the form of hands-on training sessions or the facilitation of seminars on issues of interest to the research community. If you feel you would benefit from an awareness session, as an individual or for a group of colleagues then please contact:

Emma Walton, Learning & Teaching Support Manager, E.Walton@sussex.ac.uk, 01273 873466 / x3466

Joanna Ball, Research Liaison Manager, J.E.Ball@sussex.ac.uk, 01273 872746 / x2746
